Make your own artisan pizza dough at home for a fresh, customizable pizza experience.

Ingredients

  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 325ml water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Combine flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour, and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat your oven to its highest setting.
  7. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 2-3 portions.
  8. Roll out each portion into your desired pizza shape, and add your favorite toppings.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes until the crust is crispy and golden.

Notes

For a crispier crust, use a pizza stone and preheat it before baking.
