  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter (cold)
  • 1 cup whole milk (warm)
  • 1 large egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  2. Whisk the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Pour in the milk mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Chill your dough: Shape the dough into a rectangle, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  6. Roll it out into a larger rectangle.
  7. Place cold butter in the center and fold the dough over it.
  8. Roll and fold the dough several times to create layers.
  9. Cut the dough into triangles, roll into crescent shapes, and place on a baking sheet.
  10. Let them rise for 1 hour, then brush with egg wash.
  11. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes
