These moist and fluffy blueberry muffins are a delightful treat perfect for breakfast or snacks, bursting with sweet blueberries.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
  • Optional: sugar for sprinkling on top

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Mix the melted butter, eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the fresh blueberries carefully.
  6. Evenly distribute the batter into the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding lemon zest or substituting blueberries with other berries.
