Delightful brownies that combine the richness of chocolate with the fruity goodness of banana bread.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter.
  4. Combine sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Add the baking soda and salt, mixing well.
  6. Incorporate the flour until just incorporated.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips if you’re adding them.
  8. Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For best flavor, use very ripe bananas. Adjust sugar based on banana sweetness.
