A delightful fusion of banana bread and brownies, these Banana Bread Brownies are rich, fudgy, and bursting with chocolatey goodness.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas and melted butter in a mixing bowl. Stir in the brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder in another bowl.
  4. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
