A delightful twist on classic banana bread and cinnamon rolls, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese (for frosting)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, and sugars in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract to the mixture.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and spread with butter, then sprinkle with a cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and slice it into rolls.
  8. Place the rolls in the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and milk until smooth for the frosting.
  10. Drizzle the frosting over the warm rolls before serving.
