A comforting and simple recipe for moist banana bread made with ripe bananas and rich butter, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar (can be less to taste)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  6. Fold in the flour until just incorporated.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, add nuts or chocolate chips. Store wrapped for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
