A delightful twist on the traditional tiramisu, featuring layers of creamy mascarpone, sweet bananas, and coffee-soaked ladyfingers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Fold in the mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  2. Slice the bananas and set aside.
  3. In a shallow dish, combine brewed coffee and coffee liqueur (if using).
  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they’re soaked but not soggy.
  5. In a serving dish, layer half of the soaked ladyfingers, followed by half of the banana slices, and then half of the mascarpone mixture.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set.
  8. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for sweetness and be careful not to overwhip the cream. Allow the tiramisu to chill for full flavor development.
