Deliciously moist maple donut bars with a sweet glaze, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon maple extract
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup (for glaze)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the milk, melted butter, eggs, and maple extract in another bowl.
  4. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool slightly, then remove from the pan.
  8. Make the glaze by mixing the maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bars.
  10. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
