Cozy blueberry biscuits that are fluffy, buttery, and bursting with blueberries, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the buttermilk until just combined. Fold in the fresh blueberries gently.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet and sprinkle with sugar if desired. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or maple syrup. Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
