Fluffy and tender blueberry cinnamon rolls that combine the warmth of cinnamon with fresh blueberries for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for icing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Add the softened butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture and mix until a dough begins to form.
  4. Fold in the fresh blueberries carefully.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Spread a layer of softened butter over the surface, then sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Starting at one end, roll the dough tightly into a cylinder and slice into 12 equal rounds.
  8. Place the rolls into a greased baking dish.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly and drizzle with powdered sugar icing before serving.

Notes

Keep leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or freeze for up to a month.
