Delightful puff pastries filled with sweet cream cheese and fresh blueberries, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness and cut into 4-inch squares.
  3. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, lemon zest, and salt in a bowl; mix until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture and a few blueberries in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the corners over the filling, pinching the edges to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

These pastries are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
