Decadent cinnamon rolls infused with bourbon, maple syrup, and crispy bacon, perfect for a special breakfast or brunch.

  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup icing (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the cinnamon roll package instructions, typically to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup, bourbon, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir until well blended.
  3. Open the can of cinnamon roll dough and carefully unroll it. Roll it out into a rectangle.
  4. Spread the bourbon maple mixture over the rolled-out dough.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped bacon (and pecans if using) evenly over the dough, pressing down lightly.
  6. Starting from one edge, roll the dough back into a log form and slice into 8 equal pieces.
  7. Place the rolls in a baking dish, cut side up, and leave space for them to rise.
  8. Pop the dish into the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and drizzle with icing. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding nutmeg or vanilla to the bourbon mixture. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
