Ingredients

  • 4 slices of thick-cut bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 slices of cooked bacon, chopped
  • Butter for cooking
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the eggs, milk, bourbon, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. Fold in the chopped bacon into the mixture.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a little butter.
  4. Dip each slice of thick-cut bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides thoroughly.
  5. Cook the coated bread slices in the skillet until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Notes
