Ingredients

  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it foams and turns golden brown, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the browned butter cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter, powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes. Adjust consistency with more powdered sugar or cream as needed.
  5. Use immediately to frost cakes, cupcakes, or bars.

Notes
