A simple and nostalgic canned peach pie featuring sweet, juicy peaches and a golden crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of peaches
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Butter (for dotting on top)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and lemon juice.
  3. Drain the peaches and add them to the mixture, stirring gently to coat.
  4. Place the pre-made pie crust in a pie dish and fill it with the peach mixture.
  5. Dot the top of the peach filling with small pats of butter.
  6. Cover with another crust if desired, or leave it open-faced.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the filling bubbles.
  8. Let the pie cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful treat. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
