A simple one-pan version of the classic Chinese Beef and Broccoli that brings rich flavors and comforting aromas to your dinner table.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for 30 seconds.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the pan and cook until browned.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and a splash of water. Cover the pan and steam for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

For best results, slice beef against the grain for tenderness. Feel free to incorporate other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
