A delightful blend of ripe bananas and rich chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in.
  4. Mix in the flour until just incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for best flavor. Don’t overmix the batter to keep the bread light.
