Layers of cookie dough paired with rich, creamy cheesecake create a delightful dessert experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread half of the cookie dough mixture in the greased baking dish.
  7. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cookie base and spread evenly.
  9. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining cookie dough mixture on top of the cheesecake layer.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the edges are golden and the center is set.
  11. Allow to cool before slicing into bars.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. Can be frozen for longer storage.
