A delightful bake transforming buttery croissants and rich chocolate chips into a custardy, breakfast treat perfect for any occasion.

  • 4 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your baking dish by greasing it generously.
  3. Layer the pieces of torn croissants in the baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the croissant pieces.
  5. Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until well combined.
  6. Soak the croissants by pouring the egg mixture over them.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.
