A deliciously rich and moist chocolate cake combined with the delightful crunch of Oreo cookies, perfect for any celebration.

  • 1 package Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
  3. Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  5. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture alternating with milk.
  6. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  7. Divide the batter evenly between pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  10. Frost the cakes with the whipped cream frosting and garnish with additional crushed Oreos.

Notes

For a deeper chocolate flavor, replace some flour with additional cocoa powder. Use quality Oreos for the best taste.
