A nostalgic and silky chocolate pudding made from simple ingredients that brings joy and comfort.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Combine the granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Gradually whisk in the whole milk until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Put the saucepan over medium heat and stir constantly until thickened (about 5-10 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract until fully integrated.
  5. Pour into bowls or cups, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes until set.
