A rich, moist banana bread loaded with gooey chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Sprinkle baking soda and salt into the mixture and mix well.
  6. Add the flour and stir until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
