Delicious coffee-infused cinnamon rolls that are soft, fluffy, and topped with creamy icing, perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup brewed coffee (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough Mixture: In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, active dry yeast, and salt.
  2. Heat the Milk: In a saucepan, heat the milk and 1/4 cup of butter until warm (but not boiling). Remove from heat and stir in the cooled brewed coffee.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Combine the wet and dry ingredients in your mixing bowl, adding the egg. Mix until well combined and knead until the dough is smooth. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Shape the Rolls: Once the dough has risen, roll it out onto a floured surface. Spread the softened butter across the surface, then sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll tightly and cut into rolls.
  5. Second Rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise again for another 30 minutes.
  6. Bake the Rolls: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Prepare the Icing: While the rolls are baking, mix the powdered sugar with 1/4 cup of brewed coffee until smooth.
  8. Drizzle and Serve: Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the icing over them while warm. Serve immediately and savor that first bite!
