  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed cookies and cream cookies
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Form the Dough: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let the Dough Rise: Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise for about 1 hour.
  5. Roll Out the Dough: Once risen, roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  6. Spread the Butter: Spread the softened butter generously over the dough.
  7. Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the buttered dough, followed by the crushed cookies and cream.
  8. Roll and Slice: Starting from one side, roll the dough tightly to form a log. Slice it into even rolls, about 1 inch thick.
  9. Second Rise: Place the rolls into a greased baking dish, cover them, and let them rise again for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake the Rolls: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes.

Notes

Serve warm and enjoy with coffee or milk. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
