Delightful macarons infused with whimsical cotton candy flavor, perfect for parties or sweet treats.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cotton candy flavoring
  • Food coloring (light blue or pink)
  • Buttercream frosting (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Whip the egg whites in a separate bowl until foamy, then gradually add the granulated sugar while whisking to achieve stiff peaks.
  4. Fold in the almond flour mixture, being careful not to deflate the meringue. Add vanilla extract, cotton candy flavoring, and food coloring.
  5. Pipe small rounds of batter onto the prepared baking sheet. Allow them to rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  6. Bake the macarons for 15-20 minutes until the shells are dry and lift off easily.
  7. Cool the macarons completely on the baking sheet.
  8. Assemble by spreading or piping buttercream frosting between two shells.

Notes

For best results, age egg whites and ensure dry conditions while making macarons.
