A delightful candy infused with tart cranberry flavors and floral notes of rosewater, perfect for festive occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup cranberry juice
  • 1 tablespoon rosewater
  • 1/4 cup chopped dried cranberries
  • Confectioners’ sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan, bring to a boil until dissolved.
  2. Create the cornstarch mixture by mixing cornstarch with 1/2 cup of water until smooth.
  3. Add lemon juice and cranberry juice to the sugar syrup, cooking over low heat and stirring until thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in rosewater, and fold in chopped dried cranberries.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased square pan and let it cool at room temperature.
  6. Dust the top with confectioners’ sugar and cut into squares.
  7. Serve and enjoy your luxurious cranberry-rose Turkish delight!

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature. They will keep for about a week.
