A heartwarming breakfast casserole combining fluffy bread, creamy cheese, and cinnamon spice, perfect for gatherings.

  • 1 loaf of bread (cubed)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Maple syrup (for serving)
  • Powdered sugar (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cube the bread and place half in the bottom of the greased dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then mix in eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until combined.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring all are coated. Layer the remaining bread cubes on top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
  6. Serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
