  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook them in the skillet until golden brown on both sides, about 6-7 minutes each side. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté the minced garlic in the same skillet for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
  4. Deglaze the pan with the chicken broth, scraping up all the yummy browned bits stuck to the bottom.
  5. Create the creamy base by stirring in the heavy cream and garlic powder, letting it simmer until slightly thickened.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it well in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional minute to ensure the chicken is heated through.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine when deglazing the pan.
