A delicious and hearty dish that combines pasta with rich meat sauce, creamy cheeses, and Italian seasonings for a comforting meal.

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef or sausage
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef or sausage, onion, and garlic; cook until the meat is browned and onions are translucent.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti, meat sauce, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

Make sure to cook the spaghetti al dente, as it will continue to cook while baking. Feel free to add your favorite vegetables, like bell peppers or mushrooms, to the meat mixture for extra flavor and nutrition.
