Tender beef chuck roast slow-cooked to perfection, served on hoagie rolls with a savory dipping broth.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 4 to 6 hoagie rolls
  • Sliced provolone cheese (optional)
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the onion soup mix generously over the roast.
  3. Pour in the beef broth around the meat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  5. Shred the beef with two forks.
  6. Serve on hoagie rolls with optional provolone cheese.
  7. Ladle cooking liquid into small bowls for dipping.

Notes

This dish pairs well with crispy fries or a fresh salad. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
