A bold, sweet, and spicy sauce perfect for elevating any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey or sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or other hot sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tablespoon water (if using cornstarch)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sriracha, garlic, and ginger until combined.
  2. Prepare the cornstarch slurry (if using) by mixing cornstarch and water.
  3. Heat the sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Add the cornstarch slurry to the saucepan and stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Cool the sauce before using it as a drizzle over your favorite dishes.

Notes

Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
