A delightful blend of sweetness and spice, this cinnamon sugar quick bread is easy to make and perfect for breakfast or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar for topping
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs, whisking until combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, and combine until just blended.
  5. In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup sugar with the cinnamon for the topping.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  7. Add the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the bread.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to slice.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or cream cheese frosting. Store at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
