Easy Lasagna is a comforting dish made with layers of pasta, cheese, and flavorful meat sauce, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Layer 3 lasagna noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, half of the ground beef, a third of the mozzarella, and another layer of marinara sauce.
  7. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, remaining marinara sauce, and top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

Try adding vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition. You can also make a vegetarian version by replacing ground beef with vegetables or a meat substitute.
