Deliciously fluffy French doughnuts dusted with powdered sugar, perfect for a sweet treat any time!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, combine the milk, eggs, and melted butter, and beat until well mixed.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the doughnuts from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain.
  7. Dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with coffee or juice. For variations, consider adding spices or filling them with cream.
