  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. In another bowl, beat the egg, then mix in the milk and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Using a piping bag or squeeze bottle, squeeze the batter into the oil in a circular motion to create a funnel shape.
  6. Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Remove the donuts and drain on paper towels, then dust generously with powdered sugar.
