Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak medallions
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 lb potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the steak medallions with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the steak medallions and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
  5. In a separate pot, boil the potatoes until tender, then drain.
  6. Mash the potatoes with butter and milk until creamy.
  7. Serve the garlic pepper steak medallions with buttery mashed potatoes on the side, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the steak for a few hours before cooking. Use a potato masher or electric mixer for the smoothest mashed potatoes.
