  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing until combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it simmers; stir in the vanilla extract and remove from heat.
  6. Drizzle the warm caramel sauce over the batter.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top.
