  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prep the pan by greasing a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Whisk the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl.
  4. Merge the wet and dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the greased cake pan.
  6. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top of the batter.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, checking for doneness.
  8. Cool the cake for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
