  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl.
  3. Add the melted butter, brewed coffee, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Create small holes in the cake and pour the caramel sauce over the top while the cake is still warm.
  7. Allow the cake to cool before serving.
