Indulge in these rich and moist brownies infused with Guinness for a deep chocolate flavor.

  • 1 cup Guinness beer
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and Guinness over medium heat.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. If desired, fold in the chocolate chips for extra gooeyness.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow the brownies to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extravagant dessert. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
