Guilt-free churro bites made with almond flour and baked in an air fryer for a healthier twist on a classic treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup erythritol or coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the almond flour, erythritol (or coconut sugar), cinnamon, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Combine the applesauce, almond milk, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Create a dough by mixing the wet and dry ingredients together.
  5. Shape the dough into small bite-sized pieces.
  6. Prepare the shaped bites in the air fryer basket and spray with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry for about 8-10 minutes, checking for a golden-brown color.
  8. Serve warm, optionally sprinkling with extra cinnamon sugar.

Notes

These bites can be paired with a chocolate sauce or maple syrup. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
