A delightful and nutritious breakfast sandwich featuring fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and aromatic basil, complemented by a flavorful pesto.

Ingredients

  • Whole grain bread
  • Fresh mozzarella cheese
  • Tomato slices
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Pesto sauce
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Toast the whole grain bread slices until they are golden and crispy.
  2. Spread pesto sauce on one side of each slice.
  3. Layer fresh mozzarella cheese, followed by tomato slices, and then basil leaves on one slice.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Top with the other slice of bread, pesto side facing down.
  6. Drizzle a little olive oil over the top if desired.
  7. Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.

Notes
