  • 1 pie crust
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking your sumptuous egg tarts.
  2. Take your pie crust and place it into a tart pan, pressing gently to fit.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until smooth.
  4. Stir in the milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into another bowl.
  6. Pour the custard mixture into the prepared pie crust, filling it to the rim.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the custard is set and lightly browned.
