A delightful twist on the classic tiramisu featuring the zesty flavors of lemon for a refreshing dessert experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Cocoa powder or lemon zest for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine the mascarpone cheese, sugar, lemon juice, heavy cream, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  2. Dip the ladyfinger cookies quickly into the cooled brewed coffee to avoid sogginess, and layer them in the bottom of a serving dish.
  3. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers, ensuring they are fully covered.
  4. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  5. Chill the dish with plastic wrap or a lid in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  6. Garnish before serving with cocoa powder or lemon zest for added flavor and elegance.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Best enjoyed fresh.
