A comforting Mushroom Chicken dish with succulent chicken breasts smothered in a rich, creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 cups mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper and cook in the skillet until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet; sauté until softened.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits, and simmer.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and let the sauce thicken slightly.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating in the sauce, and simmer to heat through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Substitute chicken thighs for extra flavor and tenderness. You can also adjust the cream for a lighter version or use various mushrooms.
