A comforting classic featuring crispy Parmesan crusted chicken paired with a velvety garlic cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs until evenly mixed.
  3. In another bowl, season the all-purpose flour with salt and pepper for flavor.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the seasoned flour, ensuring it’s fully coated. Then, dip into the beaten eggs, followed by the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to help the coating stick.
  5. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  6. Once the oil is hot, add the coated chicken breasts. Sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until they achieve a glorious golden-brown color.
  7. Transfer the seared chicken breasts to a baking dish and send them to the oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked through.
  8. In the skillet you used for the chicken, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  9. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring occasionally, and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  10. Pour the creamy garlic sauce over the baked chicken and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a thicker crust, repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating. Ensure chicken breasts are even thickness for uniform cooking.
