Warm and crispy Patty Melt Toasties filled with juicy ground beef, caramelized onions, and gooey cheddar cheese, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 slices rye bread
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt a bit of butter and add sliced onions. Cook them slowly until golden brown and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the ground beef, seasoning it with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  3. Layer two slices of rye bread with cooked beef, caramelized onions, and cheddar cheese.
  4. Butter the outer sides of the sandwich and grill on medium heat until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  5. Slice in half and serve warm.
