Transform the classic peanut butter and jelly into elegant puff pastry turnovers that are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup jelly or jam of choice
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and cut into 4×4 inch squares.
  3. Place a tablespoon of peanut butter and a tablespoon of jelly in the center of each square.
  4. Fold the pastry over to create a triangle and press the edges to seal.
  5. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the turnovers on it.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Serve with fresh fruit or yogurt for breakfast. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
