A delicious quiche filled with crispy bacon and sharp cheddar in a rich custard base, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chives or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  4. Place the pie crust in a pie dish and layer with crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese layer.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set and lightly golden.
  7. Let the quiche cool for a few minutes, then garnish with chives or green onions before slicing.

Notes

For a crisper crust, pre-bake for 10 minutes. You can also experiment with different cheeses and add sautéed vegetables for variation.
